Roger Chapman

Obituary of Roger Chapman

"Our beloved Roger passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on January 5, 2021. He gave so much to others, his heart had nothing else to give.

He was born in Pocatello, Idaho on June 28, 1939 and grew up in Puyallup, Washington. He graduated from Puyallup High School in 1958 and loved his regular get-togethers with his alumni group, The 58ers.

He was an avid fisherman and an active member of the Gig Harbor chapter of the Puget Sound Anglers. That group of fishermen kept him young, and for that, we are forever grateful.

He was the kindest, most loving, and honest man you would ever have the pleasure of knowing. He touched so many lives and helped others without question. He loved his bride, his family, and his friends unconditionally and taught them kindness, how to love deeply, and patience.

He is survived by his brother Fred, his wife Karen, his son and his wife, Troy and Meliss, his daughter and her husband, Jodie and Frank, his grandkids Mackenzie (Lance), Matthew (Izzy), Kaylee, Kyle, Chad, Ariel (Chuck), and his great-grandson, Cole.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be no service. Family and friends will be notified of a celebration of life once restrictions are lifted."
