Alice Lorraine Pihl Hofner

Alice passed away peacefully at the age of 88 on 2/22/20 in Puyallup.  She was born and raised in Tacoma, attended Parkland grade school, Stewart Jr. High & graduated from Lincoln High School in 1950. She was a Majorette at Lincoln, and was married to her high school sweetheart, Henry  Hofner, for 49 ½ years.  Alice & Dutch raised their family in Midland.  She was a member of the Greater Tacoma Chapter of Sweet Adelines, loved her boating years, bowling friendships, shopping, lunch at Mrs. Turner’s, and her dog, Lucy.  Mom deeply loved her family gatherings. Alice was the youngest daughter of Frank & Ella Pihl from Puyallup.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Quentin Pihl, and sister, Arline McClurg, and husband Henry, whom she wished to share future anniversaries in Heaven.

Alice will be dearly missed by her four children:  Bill (Rena), Dave (Nancy), Sue (O.J.) & Hank Jr., (Portia), 9 grandkids & 20+ great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the special caregivers at Franklin Place in Sumner & Life Care Center of South Hill, Puyallup.

A private graveside service was held at Woodbine Cemetery and family gathering afterward.

At the family's request, please no flowers.  Thank you.
